Getting Started
What is Top500People?
Top500People is a real community leaderboard where people vote to decide who rises. Browse rankings as a guest, create an account to vote, and support the public figures you care about.
How do I get started?
Start by exploring the rankings, leagues, Trending, and New views. When you find someone you want to support, create a free account, buy credits in your Wallet, and cast your votes.
What leagues are available?
Top500People has themed leagues such as Hollywood, Music, Football, Politics, Bollywood, K-Pop, Esports, Influencers, and Richest. Each league has its own ranking, rising names, and community favorites.
Can I suggest someone new?
Yes. Use the submission flow from the ranking page, add useful context, and send the person for review. Once approved, the community can start voting for them.
Why Participate
Why should I vote?
Your votes directly influence who becomes TOP. Support your favorites, discover new personalities, and help shape a ranking driven by real people, not algorithms or editors.
What do I gain by participating?
You get a voice in the ranking. You can push your favorites higher, join live duels, follow momentum across leagues, and be part of a community deciding who deserves attention.
Why is Top500People different from other rankings?
Many rankings are editorial, algorithmic, or unclear. Top500People is built around visible community support: people vote, rankings move, and momentum can change quickly.
Ranking & Trending
How does the ranking work?
The main ranking is shaped by likes from the community. One credit equals one like, and every like helps that person move up.
How is Trending calculated?
Trending shows who gained the most likes in the last 24 hours. It highlights who is rising right now, not just who has the highest total.
Why does the like count halve weekly?
Weekly decay keeps the ranking alive. Older support gradually loses weight, so new contenders can rise and ongoing community support matters.
Wallet & Credits
What are credits?
Credits are how you vote on Top500People. One credit equals one like, and credits can be used in rankings or active duels.
Can I vote for free?
Credits are paid to keep voting fair and prevent bots or fake engagement. Every vote represents real support from someone who chose to back that person.
Where do I buy credits?
You can buy credits in your Wallet using Stripe. After purchase, your credits are available for ranking likes and duels.
What if something goes wrong with a payment?
If you see a duplicate charge or technical payment issue, contact us at info@top500people.com. We review payment problems case by case and help when something went wrong.
Duels
What are duels and how do they work?
Duels let you pick a side and push your favorite to victory. Back one of two people with your votes and follow the score while the fight is live.
How long does a duel last?
Each duel has a fixed active period. The duel card shows when it starts or ends, and active duels accept votes until the timer runs out.
Can I vote in multiple duels?
Yes. Your credits are shared across Top500People, so you can use them in rankings and in any active duel you care about.
What happens when a duel ends?
Voting closes and the person with more likes wins. The winner gets a major boost toward the main ranking, and the duel is archived with the final result.
Safety & Privacy
How do you keep the ranking clean?
We review every submission to keep the ranking clean and credible. Duplicate, misleading, abusive, or inappropriate entries can be rejected.
How does duplicate prevention work?
We check normalized names and surface possible matches before submission. Admin review adds another layer to prevent duplicate profiles.
How is my privacy protected?
We collect only what is needed to run the service, such as account and usage data. We do not sell your data; see the Privacy Policy for full details.
