Makoto Hasebe

Makoto Hasebe (長谷部 誠, Hasebe Makoto; born 18 January 1984) is a Japanese professional football coach and former player who played as a centre-back or defensive midfielder. He is currently the assistant coach of Japan national team. Hasebe started his professional playing career with Urawa Red Diamonds in 2002, joining the club from his hometown Fujieda Higashi high school team.
